We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Director, Head of Strategy and Core Custody Product (Custody Client Platform) to join our Asset Servicing team. This role is located in New York City, NY In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Leading the definition, development and communication of our strategic vision and goals for the future of global Custody and Core Custody Product
- Working closely with clients, senior management, internal and external partners to identify, analyze and prioritize strategic opportunities and initiatives that drive growth, profitability and competitive advantage
- Deeply understanding and educating our teams about the dynamics and advancements among the client segments we serve (asset managers, asset owners, banks, broker dealers, insurance companies, alternative fund managers), our competitors, and the industry at large to inform our strategy
- Exploring innovative ways to future proof and commercialize our business, including new technologies, partnerships and monetization strategies
- Articulating and amplifying our value proposition, differentiators, and go-to-market approach for custody to our core client segments, in the context of the firmwide offerings we provide
- Defining our Objectives and Key Results, ensuring alignment with BNY's strategic pillars and principles
- Collaborating with business development and product teams to support strategic engagements with key clients
- Oversee our Commercial Team, Prime Custody Product, and Brazil Custody Product
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, finance, economics or a related field
- Vast experience in asset management and asset servicing, with expertise in global custody services
- Knowledge of innovative data structuring and monetization strategies in the B2B space
- Experience in strategic consulting, corporate strategy or strategic planning in financial services
- Proven track record of leading and managing complex strategic projects and initiatives from inception to completion
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
- Intellectual curiosity - interested in shaping the future of financial services
- Thoughtful communicator who can express complex ideas in simple practical terms of senior audiences and clients
- Ability to collaborate with and influence senior executives and stakeholders
- Desire to work in a fast-paced highly transformational environment

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
