Purpose:

Directs, establishes, maintains, and plans the overall policies and goals for a one or more sectors. Responsible for accounts with major customers. Develops and maintains client relationships. Identifies potential business partners and negotiates agreements. Works with other departments to ensure alignment of company goals, as set by senior management. Ensures business growth strategies are met. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sector and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sector is required.

Operational leaders implementing strategies within a complex area requiring a broad grasp of practices or principles in a highly specialized field or in cross-functional setting. May lead a defined business area, a functional area, defined location or project. Frequently integrates with other functions to drive broader work strategies which may impact Worley. Generally manage work through others. Will have a high degree of autonomy operating within general management direction and functional policies. Develops and oversees objectives, policies and procedures for the next 1-3 years.

  • Develops and oversees implementation of strategic programs and policies for their groups, which will have impact on the overall organization; Ability to manage multiple complex projects through others; Works frequently with executive management on significant matters influencing the organization's business results, which typically include global strategies.


Supervision



  • Received Operates with broad management authority. Limited only by general objectives and policies of the organization. Work is reviewed to ensure company direction meets company vision and mission.
  • Makes decisions as to the selection, training, discipline and remuneration of staff. Assigns policy framework, long-term mission and vision.


Communication



  • Effectively communicate and present complex proposals and reports to executive level management and/or the Board. Participative management style with a cooperative team approach. Proven leadership skills in multi-cultural/national environments.


Systems, Processes & Tools Expert



  • Expert understanding of broader systems, processes and tools related to field. Able to teach and help others. May be involved in the development of new systems, processes and tools.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:



  • High school diploma in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.



  • Typically 15+ years relevant experience, including project management experience, and recognized as a functional expert and thought leader, providing consultation to others.
