Summary:

The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing content that engages target audiences and supports business objectives within Health Systems & Government Services, including solutions in Accelerate Pharmacy Solutions. This role focuses on crafting compelling narratives and producing informative materials to enhance brand awareness, showcase thought leadership, foster customer engagement, and drive traffic and conversions. The Content Marketing Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure content aligns with Cencora's strategic objectives and brand identity. As a key member of the Health Systems & Government Services Marketing team, the Content Marketing Manager operates in a collaborative environment, engaging with various divisions to support content needs. This role requires strategic thinking, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects, translating complex industry topics into accessible and actionable content and contributing to the overall marketing strategy. The Content Marketing Manager works through the direct supervision of the Director, Health Systems & Government Services Marketing and in collaboration with the Health Systems & Government Services management and marketing teams.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with overall marketing goals

  • Identify target audiences and create content plans that address their needs, interests, and pain points

  • Write, edit, and oversee the production of high-quality content across various formats, including blog posts, articles, whitepapers, videos, infographics, and social media posts

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance

  • Create and maintain a content calendar to schedule and organize content production and publication

  • Coordinate with other teams to align content releases with marketing campaigns, product launches, and events

  • In collaboration with digital marketing team, conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices to enhance content visibility and organic search rankings

  • In collaboration with digital marketing team, monitor and analyze website traffic and engagement metrics to optimize content for better performance

  • In collaboration with digital marketing team, develop and execute social media strategiesand other digital campaigns to promote content and engage with audiences on various platform while monitoring social media channels for feedback and interactions, responding to comments and messages as needed

  • Create and manage distribution plans to ensure content reaches target audiences through appropriate channels, including email marketing, social media, and partnerships

  • Leverage paid advertising and partnerships to amplify content reach

  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to content engagement, such as page views, shares, downloads, and conversions

  • Prepare reports on content performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvement

  • Conduct research to understand audience preferences, behaviors, and trends to inform content creation and strategy

  • Gather feedback from customers and stakeholders to refine content offerings

  • Work closely within Health Systems & Government Services marketing, sales, design, and product teams to ensure content aligns with overall business objectives and messaging

  • Collaborate on projects requiring integrated marketing efforts

  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging content formats, and best practices to enhance content strategies

  • Experiment with new content formats and technologies to engage audiences effectively

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Develop strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to facilitate content creation and distribution

  • Present content initiatives and results to internal teams and leadership

  • Attend industry events and conferences as needed to inform and support content marketing strategies

  • Perform related duties as assigned

  • Candidates should have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in content marketing, communications, or a related field

  • This position requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and education

  • Candidates must have a proven track record of developing and executing content strategies and creating engaging content that drives business results

  • A portfolio showcasing a variety of work, including written materials, presentations, and case studies, is required

  • Demonstrated expertise in content marketing best practices, including content strategy development and execution

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Highly creative, with experience writing for diverse business-to-business audiences

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills

  • Detail-oriented with superior PowerPoint skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret content performance data

  • Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is a plus

  • 10-15% of travel

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
