We are currently seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support our NSWC customer in Crane, IN. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in cloud infrastructure design and implementation to support various business initiatives and workloads in a compliant and secure environment.

Duties:



  • Assist A&A team to develop technical documentation required for ATO submission(s)
  • Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure to support RDT&E workloads
  • Automate infrastructure leveraging Infrastructure as a Code (IaaC) to minimize overhead required to support cloud and hybrid cloud environment
  • Help develop best practices and policies for hybrid cloud environment.
  • Maintain and further develop COSMOS pilot program for ITD's customers to have a prototyping environment


Desired Experience:



  • Seven (7) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in cloud engineering or related technical roles, specifically within Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Expertise in designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions with a focus on Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience with cloud-native application design, deployment, and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Proficiency in automation scripts using Python, Terraform, or similar technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices, including compliance requirements for government environments (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP).
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools to ensure performance and reliability of cloud workloads.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude to identify and address potential issues in cloud infrastructure.


Desired Education:



  • Bachelors Degree in Cybersecurity of Computer Science.
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
  • Level 3 IA Cert (CASP +)


Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
