Our client, a leading railroad company, is expanding into a new line of business that involves field service management. They are looking for an Excel & SharePoint Specialist to streamline and enhance their job scheduling and data management processes.
Currently, job scheduling and coordination are handled manually in Excel, with data being communicated between customers, field service personnel, and managers. The company seeks a skilled professional to optimize and automate this process, making it more efficient and scalable.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze the current Excel-based scheduling process and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop an efficient Excel system that automates data entry, tracking, and reporting.
  • Organize and structure data for easy input and retrieval in Excel, SharePoint, Teams, or NetSuite.
  • Work closely with the scheduling team to understand their needs and translate them into a user-friendly system.
  • Automate email notifications and reporting using Excel and SharePoint workflows.
  • Ensure seamless data integration for future migration to NetSuite.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, macros, pivot tables, automation).
  • Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and NetSuite is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of data organization and process optimization.
  • Ability to analyze business processes and translate requirements into efficient solutions.
  • Experience working in field service scheduling, logistics, or railroad industries is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with different stakeholders.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
