Central City Concern is an innovative nonprofit agency providing comprehensive services to single adults and families in the Portland metro area who are impacted by homelessness, poverty and addictions. Central City Concern is opening the 16 x Burnside Recovery Center, a state-of-the-art facility designed to meet a critical need in our community: providing extended residential treatment for individuals transitioning out of Hooper Detoxification and Stabilization Center. The Burnside Recovery Center will offer 3.7 Level of Care services, focusing on stabilization and support for clients with substance use disorders as their primary diagnosis, along with co-occurring mental health conditions. Our integrated, person-centered care model meets clients and their families where they are, combining therapy, mental health services, medical care, and community-based management into one coordinated pathway to recovery. With expedited access to primary care, outpatient substance use disorder services, and recovery-supportive housing, our holistic approach empowers clients to achieve long-term success. Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM Location: 16 Burn Recovery Center (1616 E Burnside St. Portland, OR 97214) Seniority Bid Window Closes: 03/21/25 Open Until Date: Until Filled Compensation: $19.58 per hour MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have at least six months experience in interior and exterior janitorial cleaning.
- Must have at least three months experience identifying bed bugs, rodents and other insects.
- Must have experience in floor care -waxing, buffing, vacuuming and carpet cleaning.
- Must be able to use a ladder safely in accordance with OSHA guidelines.
- Must be trained or be able to be trained in bio-hazard cleanup.
- Must be able to read, write and understand English.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, TB test, and background check. Certain convictions may disqualify you for this position according to the program restrictions and contractual obligations.
- Ability to adhere to adhere to Central City Concern's drug-free workplace which encourages a safe, healthy and productive work environment and strictly complies with the Drug-Free Work Place Act of 1988. An employee shall not, in the workplace, unlawfully manufacture, distribute, dispense, possess or use a controlled substance or alcohol.
- Sufficient manual dexterity and physical ability to perform duties including ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects as well as climb stairs.
- May be required to carry an agency cell phone for work use. If required, cell phone will be provided by Central City Concern.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean lobbies, hallways, offices, bathrooms, exterior grounds, and client and common areas.
- Clean windows, floors, countertops, elevators, appliances, fixtures, and other building components.
- Performs sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, washing, disinfecting and polishing.
- Clean up of bio-hazard materials
- Clean sidewalks and other outside public areas as directed.
- Polishing floors, cleaning carpets and pressure washing exterior surfaces.
- Identify pests such as roaches, bed bugs, ants and rodents.
- Report pest issues to appropriate staff.
- Maintain work areas in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.
- Complete all necessary paperwork.
- Attend all required meetings and training.
- Adhere to safety procedures.
- Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and to CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security. Support compliance with all privacy and security requirements pursuant to community partners' and outside providers' patient confidentiality agreements, including privacy and security requirements for EMR access. This includes immediate reporting of any PHI breach of CCC or outside provider health records to the CCC Legal and Quality departments, as well as to the program administrator.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Experience using cleaning agents sanctioned by CCC.
- Experience operating various cleaning equipment, i.e. extractors, buffers, power washers, vacuums.
- Experience recognizing, identifying and removing pests such as roaches and bed bugs.
- Ability to learn applicable safety policies and procedures, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and the ability to apply workplace and job-site safety standards.
- Experience and knowledge of proper chemical usage and application of chemicals specific to pest control and bio-hazard clean ups.
- Ability to identify bio-hazard situations and clean in accordance to OSHA standards and regulations.
- Ability to walk, bend, climb stairs, stoop, lift, and carry 10 to 20 pounds frequently.
- Ability to do overhead work.
- Ability to interact courteously with the general public on the telephone or in person.
- Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
- Ability to complete all necessary paperwork.
- Ability to comprehend and apply written and oral instruction.
- Ability to work in all adverse weather conditions including but not limited to rain, wind, heat, cold, snow, and ice.
