Position Title: Forklift Operator
Wage: $19/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday QPS has an immediate opening at an awesome company in Edgerton, Kansas. This is a 1st Shift Forklift Operator position. Must have experience in operating a Stock Picker. This is an associate to hire position in a safe and clean warehouse environment. Great pay, benefits, and a lot of growth opportunities. Forklift Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Operate power equipment safely, following all company and OSHA guidelines - Successfully complete and maintain forklift certification (re-certification every 2 years) - Use RF scanning equipment to record inventory transactions accurately - Move products to and from designated locations while maintaining accuracy and efficiency - Perform manual inventory counts when required to ensure transaction accuracy - Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections, report any damage, and maintain a clean forklift - Monitor RF equipment functionality and report issues to the supervisor - Utilize warehouse software for equipment login and tracking - Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned Forklift Operator Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Minimum 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center - Regular exposure to forklifts and motorized conveyors in a non-climate-controlled warehouse (95% of the time) - Ability to pass written and driving tests for forklift certification - Moderate noise levels are present - Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) - Frequent standing, lifting (up to 50lbs), reaching, and walking - Occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate clearly - Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision - Ability to effectively communicate and respond to questions in a team environment QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
