Dematic Corporation is now hiring a Regional Field Service Controls Engineer. Under the direction of the Field Service Manager, this position provides service and repair as well as service and maintenance training for installed Dematic systems and equipment. As the Dematic representative in the Customer's facility, this position has a heavy responsibility for maintaining customer goodwill toward Dematic. The primary objective is to ensure that Dematic systems have the greatest availability possible for Customer use and to ensure that Customers are satisfied with their Dematic system and equipment. This role can be based anywhere in the South West Region, preferably by an airport for travel. At least 80% travel will be required. When not traveling you will be working with the help desk. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required. What we offer:

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $90,000 to $100,000 per year at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications: What You Will Do In This Role:

  • Participate in semi-complex equipment trial runs, investigative tests, repairs, and overhauls, ensuring all processes are carried out with outstanding precision.
  • Train customers on the use and maintenance of our semi-complex products and services, empowering them to achieve efficient performance.
  • Perform maintenance on tools and test equipment, meticulously detailing all inspections, maintenance, repair work, and failures to maintain a comprehensive service history.
  • Respond to service calls, assessing the performance of semi-complex products and equipment, and recommend modifications or improvements to improve functionality.
  • Identify and address problems as they occur, taking appropriate steps to resolve them efficiently and effectively.
What We Are Looking For:

We are seeking an ambitious Field Service Controls Engineer who is ready to tackle challenges and thrive in a multifaceted environment. To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Must travel on short notice and spend over 80% of time traveling, potentially away from home for long periods.
  • Availability during off hours, including weekends, holidays, and off shifts, to meet the demands of our clients.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
  • Strong written communication skills, capable of writing clear and concise trip reports in accordance with Dematic's procedures.
  • Proven experience with Programmable Logistic Controllers (PLC), including at least 3 years in a related field providing customer service support.
  • Expertise with Allen Bradley Logix PLC controls platforms and solving controls hardware issues.
  • Experience with Siemens and Modicon PLCs is a plus.
  • Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Strong customer service mentality and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal direction, achieving outstanding results.
