The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral Research Associate for research into low phase noise integrated circuits. This role will include leadership on a team in the design, tapeout and measurement of experimental ultra low phase noise mm-wave frequency synthesizers, as well as other low noise electronics to assist in hybrid electronic-photonic systems. Expertise in research in the area of ultra-low phase noise RF integrated circuits and integrated electromagnetics is required. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment, educate and train junior graduate students and meet project goal and deadlines. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field is required by appointment start date with Ph.D degree to be conferred within the same school year as the appointment date. The candidate should have experience doing integrated circuit and electromagnetic design at ultra low phase noise levels and/or mm-wave frequencies, including analysis, simulation, layout, and measurement. Extensive experience of two years or more in in a measurement laboratory environment is required. The candidate should have experience both measuring low phase noise and high frequency circuits directly through packaging or on-wafer probing.
