Freight Handler

Staffmark is seeking a Freight Handler for a reputable automotive parts warehousing company in Troy, OH. This is a great opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are looking to build a career in the automotive industry.

Pay:

• 1st Shift: $17.75/hr
• 2nd Shift: $18.75/hr

Shift:

• 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• 2nd Shift: Monday through Friday, 1:55 PM - 10:00 PM
• Overtime available on Saturdays

Job Responsibilities:

• Receive shipments and sort parts for dealers
• Palletize parts, weigh, and wrap skids for safe transit
• Load trailers with completed shipments
• Pick orders for dealers and manage split reserves
• Fill active direct orders and look up part locations
• Use JD Hand Scanner for WMS functions (scanning, packing, palletizing, etc.)
• Operate a tugger and perform packaging of skids and crates to ensure safety in transit

Requirements:

• 6 months to 1 year of previous related experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent bending, twisting, reaching overhead, and stooping
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Basic math and reasoning skills required
• High school diploma required
• Ability to work in loud environments with exposure to warehouse conditions
