Role and Responsibilities:


We're looking for a motivated Career Navigator with experience in sales, business development, or career navigation, preferably in the nonprofit sector working with individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will be skilled at networking, building relationships, and finding creative ways to create new job opportunities and partnerships.



  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, businesses, employers, and local organizations to create job opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

  • Find and pursue new opportunities for job placements, including competitive employment, volunteer roles, and business partnerships.

  • Advocate for individuals with disabilities in the workforce.

  • Attend events and forums to promote CW Resources, identify hiring needs, and build connections that lead to job opportunities.

  • Work with internal teams to ensure smooth coordination and communication with business partners and community organizations.

  • Manage relationships with existing business partners to ensure ongoing satisfaction and explore new ways to support these partnerships.

  • Advocate for a welcoming environment for individuals with disabilities and highlight their value in the workplace.

  • Organize mock interviews, job shadows, company tours, and volunteer placements to engage employers.

  • Stay up to date on local business trends and workforce development to align CW Resources' services with job opportunities.

  • Provide updates to leadership on business development and partnerships.

  • Keep accurate records of outreach, partnerships, and follow-up activities.

  • Participate in training and professional development to stay informed on best practices and new strategies.


Qualifications:



  • Proven experience in human services, job development, employment services, business development, career navigation, or vocational rehabilitation, ideally within the nonprofit sector, with a focus on adults with disabilities.

  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills with a track record of success in creating business partnerships.

  • Knowledge of workforce development, employment services, and community engagement strategies for individuals with disabilities.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Ability to travel within the community to visit various sites and business locations as needed.

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Outlook, and Excel)


Preferred Skills:



  • Advanced knowledge of employment laws, ADA regulations, and workplace accommodations.

  • First Aid certification, CPR training, and Physical & Psychological Management Training or equivalent.

  • Advanced ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.

  • Experience with CRM tools or similar systems to track outreach and partnership efforts.


Physical & Environmental Demands:



  • The position requires regular travel within the local community to visit business locations, community sites, and meet with potential partners.

  • Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.

  • Occasional lifting or pulling of up to 20 pounds; may be required.

  • The position is based in a combination of office settings and community-based locations.

  • The ability to operate standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, and other electronic devices.

  • Reasonable accommodations can be provided.
