Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a talented Cyber Data Specialist to support the Intelligence Community by leveraging your expertise in lifecycle data management. In this role, you will work as part of a dynamic team of 10 cyber data specialists and managers, providing comprehensive data management for digital media collections from customer field locations. If you're a detail-oriented, technically proficient individual with a passion for supporting critical national security operations, this is an exciting opportunity to make a direct impact.

Key Responsibilities:

    Serve as a technical resource and support the team in managing the full lifecycle of digital media data-from receipt and triage to preparation and transmission to media exploitation tools and repositories.
  • Use a variety of tools and software to process and manage media with different filesystems and operating systems, ensuring seamless data transfer and analysis.
  • Follow both automated and manual technical processes to ensure every byte of information is captured and exploited for use in downstream tools.
  • Collaborate closely with team members, bringing innovation to improve manual processes and streamline workflows.
  • If you have the drive and aptitude, opportunities to cross-train with the digital feeds and digital transformation teams are available.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience with a BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science, Business Administration, or a related technology field; or 6 years of relevant experience with an MS Degree; 5 years of additional experience performing lifecycle data management work may be substituted in lieu of a degree, for a total of 13 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Experience working in the intelligence community, with a proven track record in lifecycle data management or a similar field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to engage effectively with colleagues of varying technical expertise.
  • Must have an active TS/SCI with relevant polygraph.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell to automate and improve processes.
  • Operating Systems: Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Tools & Software: Familiarity with FTK (Forensic Toolkit) or similar media exploitation tools.
  • Innovation: Proven ability to identify and implement solutions that improve existing manual processes.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
