Job Description

Position Summary:

Touchstone Energy provides marketing, communications and member services support to our nearly 700 member cooperatives. Through research on member satisfaction and engagement; creative assets like videos, ads and social media libraries; customer service training and education; and a full-service web development team, we help cooperatives build stronger relationships with their member-owners.

NRECA's Education, Training & Events team designs, delivers, and facilitates high-impact learning experiences and events-both online and in person--that empower cooperative leaders and staff to guide their organizations and communities into the future. The portfolio includes certification programs, a robust education curriculum of 100+ courses, leadership development programs, a trade show, thought leadership events and multi-day conferences.

We are looking for someone who will contribute to the Member Engagement team and focus on activities to drive program use and member retention. Tracks and executes sales leads from process entry to completion. Provides data and information to identify and engage new co-op employees and increases awareness of programs among Touchstone Energy membership. Supports staff with member data requests and understanding of database systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages and organizes sales and engagement board (Monday.com), partnering with program managers to track, update and process program leads and inquiries.
  • Serves as an account manager for members to ensure they are appropriately engaged in Touchstone Energy programs.
  • Conducts member outreach and leads member value meetings with targeted members to drive retention and program engagement.
  • Provides sales and engagement board reporting and identifies opportunities to refine lead tracking processes.
  • Provides analysis of member trends and program engagement to support strategy and annual planning
  • Supports senior leaders with member data and understanding of member database functions, queries and systems. Serves as liaison to internal membership and information teams across NRECA.
  • Identifies, engages and raises organizational awareness among new co-op communicators, marketers and member services employees.
  • Schedules and tracks value meetings to grow program adoption among targeted member systems.
  • Maintains national business/energy manager database.
  • Supports Member Engagement functions at education forums, conferences and events.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledgeable with HTML, CSS, and web scripting and/or ability to learn.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills that show the ability to adjust messaging and style based on audience.
  • Ability to identify a target audience's needs and motivation and translate them into concepts for compelling interactions and experiences.
  • Ability to work independently and when needed, to liaise with technical support and executive management.
  • Ability to work across platforms (PC and Mac) and with various presentation devices (projector, monitor, interactive touch screen).
  • Ability to define issues, establish facts and draw valid conclusions and apply to work environment.
  • Ability to learn and utilize project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Monday.com, and Jira.
  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a diverse membership, employees and/or vendors in a clear and precise manner.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point) and to operate various office equipment such as personal computer, copier, printer, fax machine or other job-related equipment.
  • Ability to provide service excellence by building relationships, being resourceful, responsive and respectful.
  • Ability to travel to annual Brand Strategy Committee Meetings and Connect Conference.
  • Ability to report to the office when required.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or business or an equivalent of education, training and experience

Essential Physical Requirements:

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
