Commercial Systems & Technology organization is part of Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) responsible for all systems and tools to drive Cloud and AI Solutions to help customers realize value for their investments, by supporting Microsoft Field and Corp resources with programmatic and scalable assets. Commercial Systems & Technology Engineering team is responsible for driving and building apps and engineering solutions to enable various roles across MCAPS. Commercial Systems & Technology Engineering team is looking for a Principal Software Engineerto join us to deliver innovativeand world-class solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for complex solutions for the largest Sales organization globally, and deliver state-of-the-art experiences for our users. You will design and deliver cutting-edge technology solutions, integrate generative AI capabilities, buildAPIs, pipelinesand connections with other products/services in our technology stack, to enable efficient flows of work for key personas. You will closely partner with engineers and teams across Microsoft toleverage Platforms and Frameworks, innovate with product and design teams to create User Experiences, and collaborate with Security and Trust teams to engineer compliance controls for your solutions. Our products combine backend/cloud services, data processing, state-of-the-art Generative AI/Long-Language Models (LLMs), and intuitive and easy-to-use user experiences (UXs) to deliver scalable and intelligent solutions to our users We are an impactful team driving direct impact to our customers and Microsoft. ResponsibilitiesShape system architectures that provide measurable customer value,along withdriving engineering and operational excellence across products and services.Design and build scalable, multi-tenant solutions that serve divergent business and user needs in a broad capability area.Design and build solutions in an agile way, prototype and iterate with stakeholders, deliver value iteratively through MVP releases and fast-follow value-add enhancements, to support critical business needs. Dynamically adjust engineering plans to support impactrful priority business asks.Design and build modern AI-first experiences that enable efficient completion of business workflows and support users in-the-flow-of-work decision making.Deliver solutions with quality and user satisfaction, in a measurable and data driven way.Oversee partnerships with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Technical Leads, Technical Program Managers) to determine user requirements within and across teams for multiple solutions or product lines across MCAPS businesses.Oversee teams and provide technical leadership for identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI).Leverage subject-matter expertise of product features and partner with appropriate stakeholders to drive project plans, release plans, and work items.Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guide other engineers by developing and following the playbook, working on call to monitortheservice for degradation, downtime, or interruptions, alerting stakeholders about status and initiates actions to restoretheservice when appropriate.Act as a gatekeeper for product compliance,identifyingand addressing security/privacy concerns.Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability,scalability,reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. Partner internally to improve the overall productivity through recommendations and improvements to tools and processes. | |
