About School Specialty:
Job Summary:
This position offers the opportunity to gain experience within a dynamic warehouse environment. Associates will begin their journey by mastering fundamental fulfillment tasks such as order picking, packing, and shipping. Through consistent performance and successful completion of training programs and/or certification processes, individuals can advance through five distinct tiers, culminating in leadership roles.
Work Location:
- This will be an onsite role in our Greenville, WI warehouse location.
Compensation Information:
- Hourly range of $17-$19 plus an annual incentive plan.
What you'll do:
- Fulfilment Center Associates can progress through five distinct tiers, starting with entry-level fulfillment tasks and advancing to leadership roles. The employee's job title & compensation will reflect the highest level of competency successfully achieved. For example, an employee who has successfully completed the "Pulling" and "Packing" roles, and is learning "Receiving/Returns," would be titled "Associate-Fulfillment Center I."
- In addition to the job specific essential functions listed below, every FC Associate must be able to:
- Work in a demanding environment, stand/walk up to 10 hours a day, and push/pull/lift/carry up to 50 lbs., as described in the Mental and Physical Demands section.
- Have consistent and regular attendance and adherence to schedule.
- Work mandatory overtime when assigned.
- Perform their daily work activities in a safe manner while following established location safety guidelines.
- Essential Functions: Mastry of one (1) or more Associate-Fulfilment Center I roles along with additional entry criteria listed for the specific role.
- Trainer: TWI Certified for one primary FC I function.
- Knowledgeable and TWI Certified to train in one of the following roles: Pre-Label/Induction, Stocking, Pulling, Packing or Freight
- Correctly demonstrates job functions using JIBs.
- First point of contact for employees in training: field questions, provides feedback to trainee.
- Cycle Counts:
- Utilize RF equipment to perform cycle counts in non-rack locations.
- Receiving/Returns:
- Utilize RF or terminal to receive inbound product.
- Inspect product for quality.
- Verify unit count against packing list and receiving document.
- "Breakdown" vendor receipts prior to put away.
- Return to inventory or process returns in system.
What we expect you to bring to the table:
- General computer skills helpful
- Prior experience in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment strongly preferred.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Must be able to work in a demanding environment.
- Must be able to perform simple math calculations.
- Must have the ability to learn multiple job functions.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Education and/or Certifications Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
