Systems Engineer Tampa, Florida (MacDill Air Force Base) Pay From: $130,000 per year MUST: Experienced Systems Engineer Top Secret clearance required with SCI eligibility DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification required Proven experience in system integration and project support in both Windows and Linux environments. Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu) platforms. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and integrate multiple systems into cohesive infrastructure solutions. Experience with deploying and integrating critical services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and LDAP across Windows and Linux systems. Ability to assess and implement integration strategies for various systems and applications. Experience with system architecture and design, focusing on system interoperability and minimizing system conflicts. Proficient in preparing documentation for integration projects, including design specifications, testing procedures, and deployment guides. Bachelors degree preferred DUTIES: Leading the integration and deployment of new systems and technologies in both Windows and Linux environments. Collaborating with project managers, system architects, and cross-functional teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions that align with mission requirements. Managing the integration of new servers, virtual machines, and networking technologies to ensure compatibility and seamless operation within the existing infrastructure. Supporting enterprise-wide projects by ensuring that Windows and Linux systems can work together efficiently and securely. Assisting in the planning and implementation of upgrades or transitions to new platforms while minimizing disruptions to ongoing operations. Ensuring that systems integrations are compliant with security policies and best practices, with a focus on mitigating risks during deployment. Providing technical guidance and subject matter expertise in both Windows and Linux environments to support system integration efforts. Preparing and presenting technical documentation, including system designs, integration plans, and project reports. Supporting efforts to automate system integrations and streamline workflows using modern tools and technologies. Monitoring and reporting on the progress of integration projects, identifying potential risks, and proposing solutions to mitigate delays. Supporting initiatives to improve system performance, security, and reliability through integration efforts.
