Salary: $72K - $87K per year

As a Software Engineer, you'll design, implement, and test embedded C and Simulink software to meet product specs. You'll write specifications in the concept phase, implement and test control software during design, and support product service and production as needed. This role reports to the Sr. Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities:



  • Develop concept sketches, layouts, and specifications.
  • Write and test embedded control software on test benches and cranes.
  • Work on product design, improvements, testing, and analysis.
  • Collaborate on structural, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and control systems design.
  • Provide analysis, testing, and performance information.
  • Oversee test engineers and coordinate with other teams.
  • Assist with manuals and sales literature.
  • Ensure a safe working environment and follow safety protocols.



Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded programming with C and Simulink.
  • Strong background in control theory and system design.
  • Experience with CANOpen, J1939 serial communication, and Functional Safety (ISO26262, EN13849).
  • Ability to work independently and in small teams to develop specifications, software, and testing.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Capable of working in varying environments and climbing up to 12 ft on cranes.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
