We are looking for Lead BHT to join our team!

POSITION SUMMARY

The Behavioral Heath Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from adolescents through geriatrics depending on which unit worked. The Lead Behavioral Tech is the point person for the RN regarding any BHT issues that occur during the shift. The Lead Behavioral Health Technician ensures all assigned tasks are completed on the floor, provide guidance/direction to BHT's and function as Preceptor for new Behavioral Health Technicians. Successful completion of Handle with Care including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED as well as a preferred combination of behavioral health education and work experience totaling 4 years; or an Associate degree plus preferred two years or work experience in healthcare; Bachelor's degree with preferred one-year related healthcare experience or a bachelor's degree in social services or related field.
  • May work flexible hours and float to different units depending on the needs of the hospital. Other education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Must have or be able to obtain level one fingerprint clearance card.

Quail Run features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.
