Overview:

IntelliBridge is an award-winning national security company looking for a Network Architect to support a federal agency. This position requires a detail-oriented architect and/or engineer to design, plan, coordinate the implementation of networking best practices and solutions for complex networks, and ensuring the networks meet an organization's current and future needs for scalability, performance, security, and reliability.

Required Responsibilities/Duties:

  • 8 years of related experience working as a Network Architect, Network Engineer, Network Specialist, etc.
  • Experience leading migration(s) from IPv4 to IPv6, conducting post-mortems, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Ability to create investment proposals, create network designs, configurations, and real-time traffic patterns to assess network capacity, detect suboptimal network state, and identify potential points of failure.
  • Expert level knowledge of key large scale network technologies and protocols Segment Routing (MPLS), multi-tenancy, Cisco ACI.
  • Experience deploying in multiple network environments including Service Provider, Enterprise, Data Center, Cloud.
  • Define and communicate a forward-looking network architecture and roadmap for modernizing the federal agency's networks that aligns with best practices and federal standards.
  • Engage with executive leadership, team members, and technical experts both internally and externally to gather insights, align objectives, and shape innovative network modernization strategies.
  • Architect comprehensive network models that address complex technical challenges across multiple sectors while ensuring scalability, security, and resiliency.
  • Architect and provide strategic oversight for the implementation of enterprise-scale network solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Champion best practices and drive continuous improvement by integrating market trends and customer feedback.
  • Develop and promote cross-discipline network designs focused on operational efficiency, delivering cost-effective solutions that reduce expenses while maintaining high performance and resiliency.
  • Craft and present executive-level business cases that clearly articulate the strategic and financial benefits of network modernization initiatives to secure necessary investments.
  • Ensure all network architectures adhere to federal regulations, security standards, and industry best practices.
  • Provide strategic guidance on emerging technologies and innovative network solutions, serving as a trusted advisor to internal teams and external partners on technology investments and modernization efforts.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks to evaluate the success of network modernization initiatives.
  • Direct, conduct, and participate in technical presentations, demonstrations, working groups, and workshops for executives and technical stakeholders to effectively communicate complex network strategies and solutions.
  • Work within a team but able to drive work independently.
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated ability to achieve results through people, teams, vendors, and across an organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with a diverse group of people.

Preferred Qualification(s):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Information Management, Computer Science Computer Systems Engineering, or a related field preferred. Experience may be substituted for degree.

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and extensive hands-on with Cisco products including ISE, CCNA or CCNP, Cloud (AWS, Azure).
  • Solid understanding of large-scale network security deployments and Defense in Depth strategies implemented using multiple vendors (Cisco, F5).
  • Hands-on experience with network automation frameworks and ability to lead engineers through the standardization/simplification benefits of Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
