Position Summary:

The Senior Manager of Pricing and Contracting Operations for the Meitheal's Specialty Business Unit (SBU) is responsible for monitoring, managing, and performing day-to-day operations for PBM, Payer, GPO and Government contracts. This role will liaison between SBU leadership and Contract Marketing to create innovative processes for current and new product launches, all while looking to optimize performance and collaborate cross functionally to help drive results. This position reports to the Executive Director of Pricing and Contracting.

Payrate is determined by considering a person's prior experience and competence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned*

  • Oversee daily operations for PBMs, Payors, State Medicaid, VA/DoD, and GPOs, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Lead data validation efforts, manage rebate operations, and ensure accurate and compliant payment processing in line with all applicable requirements.
  • Accountable for ensuring all rebate invoices are received, logged, and validated in an appropriate manner.
  • Manage distributor/GPO relationships with the Trade team to implement programs, business reviews, vendor relations and presentations.
  • Review and assess new SBU customers, assigning the appropriate Class of Trade based on company-specific criteria.
  • Partner with Legal and Contract Marketing to ensure strict adherence to pricing terms and conditions outlined in agreements and contracts.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and gain efficiencies, driving continuous enhancements in operations.
  • Assist auditors with audit-related activities to ensure compliance and accurate documentation of controls.
  • Attend and participate in key Pricing and Contracting conferences (i.e. MDRP, Pricing & Contracting USA, etc.) to keep up with of industry trends.
  • Run ad-hoc analyses based on business needs.
  • Work on special projects as needed to support organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, MS or MBA preferred.
  • 6+ years' relative experience in Pricing and Contracting in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • 4+ years' working with GPO's and/or Commercial and Government payers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and reconcile contracts and financial data; proficiency in the use and interpretation of pharmaceutical data including Rx, physician and claims level data sets is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships and work collaboratively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, high degree of independence and exceptional work ethic.
  • Proven record of executing and optimizing Pricing and Contracting strategies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work in a fast paced, ambiguous environment with competing priorities and could solve problems with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and work cross functionally and externally.
