As an Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with Quality Management Systems through internal audits and collaboration with all bakery departments. You will independently verify and maintain policies, procedures, and forms, ensuring accuracy in production process orders and daily reconciliation tasks. Your responsibilities will also include conducting audits, managing production and waste reporting, and participating in Operational Excellence Pillar Teams.

Responsibilities:



  • Perform SAP functions related to Production Process Orders and Reconciliation.
  • Review, verify, file and maintain records relating to product safety, legality, and qualitysystems.
  • Become knowledgeable in the requirements of third-party auditors such as: BRC, FSNS,USDA, and FDA.
  • Ensure compliance to specifications outlined in Quality Management Systems and thosemandated by customers.
  • Conduct audits of procedures used in all areas of the bakery and issue a completed reportwith corrective actions to relevant managers and supervisors.
  • Maintain schedule calendars to stay on track with internal audits, mock trace exercises,training, and Management Internal GAP Assessments.
  • Conduct follow-up with Managers to ensure that corrective actions to deviations are beingcompleted in a timely manner.
  • Verify annual review of bakery specific procedures and forms are being completed by bakerymanagement.
  • Assist in the bakery's training program by coordinating the schedule, maintaining all recordsand databases.
  • Verify paperwork is maintained based on current raw ingredient and packaging registers.
  • Participate in mock trace exercises to verify compliance.
  • Verify product formula compliance and Finished Food Specifications between the networkdrive and R&D.
  • Manage and control the Quality Management System Document Control Program



Qualifications:



  • A high school diploma or a GED is required.Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited four-year institution of high learning, or 4 years of related experience is preferred.
  • Some college or minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the implementation and auditing of GFSI and/or BRC Standards
  • Certified in HARPC (Hazard Analysis and Risk-based Preventive Controls), Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard such as BRC or SQF or ability to obtain certification
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel - pivot tables, vlookups, and what-if scenarios
  • Experience with an ERP system (Enterprise Resource Program) - SAP preferred
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish

Hourly Rate: $30.00 - $32.00
