Overview
RN Critical Care- New Grad Now Hiring 2025 New Graduate Nurses with graduation dates in May, August and December. Openings in Emergency and ICU departments Locations open: Moline, IL, Rock Island, IL and Bettendorf, IA Full or Part Time, Days or Night shifts New Grad starting pay is $32.73/hr Shift differential 3p-11pm is $5/hr and 11p-7am is $7.50/hr $2,000/month stipend for 6 months prior to licensure $10K Sign on bonus Emergency Department Rock Island:
- Level 2 Trauma Center.
- 22 monitored beds.
- Six ED safe rooms.
- Eight Rapid Assessment (RAZZ) beds.
- Two triage rooms.
Moline:
- Ten monitored beds.
- One triage room.
Bettendorf:
- Level 4 Trauma Center.
- Ten monitored beds.
- Five Rapid Assessment (RAZZ) beds.
- One triage room.
Bettendorf Intensive Care (ICU)
- 10-bed unit for acutely ill medical and surgical patients, involvement in miscellaneous bedside procedures.
- Nurses trained to interpret dysrhythmias, balloon pumps, Impellas, CRRT, etc.
- Continuous bedside monitoring in all patient rooms
- Management of vasoactive medications for blood pressure issues and sedation for ventilated patients
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:2 (varies depending on acuity)
Surgical Intensive Care (SICU)- Rock Island
- 8-bed unit for acutely ill surgical patients
- Nurses trained to interpret dysrhythmias, balloon pumps, Impellas, CRRT, etc.
- Involvement in miscellaneous bedside procedures
- Extensive training for recovery and care of immediate post-op open heart patients
- Management of trauma, thoracic, vascular, and abdominal surgery cases and continuous bedside monitoring in all patient rooms
- Management of vasoactive medications for blood pressure issues and sedation for ventilated patients
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:2 (varies depending on acuity)
Medical Intensive Care (MICU)- Rock Island
- 12-bed unit for acutely ill medical patients
- Nurses trained to interpret dysrhythmias, balloon pumps, Impellas, CRRT, etc.
- Involvement in miscellaneous bedside procedures
- Continuous bedside monitoring in all patient rooms
- Management of vasoactive medications for blood pressure issues and sedation for ventilated patients
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:2 (varies depending on acuity)
Responsibilities
- Delivers high quality care utilizing the nursing process while demonstrating knowledge and clinical skills of the specialty required on assigned unit in accordance with established policies, procedures and standards of care.
- Consults appropriate resources within the hospital to provide specialized education.
- Demonstrates knowledge that patient and workplace safety is a priority by preventing errors, accidents and infections and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately.
- Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient's care.
- Continues professional development and involvement in professional activities that enhance nursing practice by sharing knowledge through networking and research.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Diploma from an RN program.
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in primary state. Must apply within 90 days for licensure in secondary state.
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities.
