From designing and implementing network architectures to conducting audits and optimizing performance, you'll be at the forefront of keeping our networks running at peak efficiency. What you will learn and contribute to

  • Performs critical (sometimes escalated) design and performance activities in customer projects independently (complex problem solving in projects and multi-vendor environments).
  • Develops / Reviews and makes recommendations on network-wide Design covering Performance, Spectrum & Capacity supported by Recommendations (within and across the region).
  • Performs network audits, especially in cases where fault or problems exist.
  • Optimizes networks with all components based on traffic trends and customer forecasts.
  • Supports experts in developing network configuration file and interface analysis
  • Develop network architecture and services designs with the best architecture available to support our customer's services.
  • Produce network implementation and migration plans.
  • Document configuration of equipment and services.
  • Test and support networks in various stages of deployment.
  • Provide recommendations to optimize the network operations and performance.
  • Work with internal technical teams for product placement and feature improvements for reliability, availability, and serviceability.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience delivering professional services including network strategy, design and engineering, implementation, testing, customer training, and on-site support.
  • Knowledge on IP Networking (preferably Data Center Networks & Protocols like VXLAN, EVPN/L3-VPN, BGP, Routing etc.)
  • Experienced with Planning, Designing, and Implementation around Nokia SDN and Data Center products and solutions.
  • At least Intermediate level expertise in Nokia SR Linux or Cisco's Data Center ACI product or Juniper Products.
  • Strong working level knowledge of IP Networking. Routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP), signalling protocols (RSVP, LDP), QoS, IP VPN, VLAN, VLL/VPLS, DPI, etc.
  • Specific Nokia knowledge of 7x50, 7705, 7210, 7220 product lines.
  • 3rd party router expertise, including Cisco/Juniper product lines
  • Automation related technologies, including Python, Netconf, Yang, gRPC, gNMI, REST, etc.
  • Experienced in deploying and managing VM environments and servers including ESXi, KVM, Kubernetes, VMWare, Containers.
  • Experienced with troubleshooting software applications in VM/Linux environment.
  • Nokia SRA, Nokia DCF or equivalent Certification are a plus.
  • Excellent hands-on network integration and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Influences others outside of the team to ensure goals are met and conflicts are resolved.
  • Responds to requests for technical information and assistance in a timely and professional manner.
