Operator (B) - Helix (2nd Shift)

Under direction of the Production Supervisor, Department Team Leader and/or Operator (A), helps develop and coordinate department activities to meet production requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Works with Operator (A) to learn safe operation of all required equipment.
• Works under direction of Production Supervisor, Team Leader and/or Operator (A) to meet production schedule requirements. Responsible to communicate any changes or revisions to the plan as they occur.
• Makes efficient use of assigned resources.
• Works with appropriate part of drawings to fabricate scheduled parts for production.
• Provides first piece approval of all metal parts fabricated.
• Sets-up efficiently and safely operates all equipment in work center. Satisfies all preventive maintenance requirements.
• Supports Operator (A), Team Leader and Production Supervisor with year-end inventories and cycle counts, as needed.
• Supports all quality programs.
• Responsible for good housekeeping and equipment maintenance.
• Must be able to read, understand and have knowledge of all procedures and to meet requirements of these procedures relating to manufacturing of product.

• Ability to work overtime hours as required by business need.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
• Prioritizes personal safety and the safety of the plant, actively contributes to the reporting of safety observations, and fostering a culture of safety awareness, resulting in zero workplace accidents.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of diagrams to ensure proper specifications are being met.
• Ability to work overtime hours as required by business need.
