The Job/What You'll Do:

The Philanthropy Specialist will implement donor engagement, event planning, and coordination in alignment with the organization's philanthropic objectives. This role involves close collaboration with Leadership to develop and implement strategies that address organizational requirements and foster future growth. The Specialist will manage various initiatives concerning corporate, foundation, and individual contributions, as well as events. As an essential member of the philanthropy and fundraising team, the Philanthropy Specialist will contribute to donor administration, outreach efforts, campaign management, and event execution. Additionally, the Specialist will handle internal processes, database management, and communication tasks related to the philanthropy team, ensuring effective use of the donor CRM platform.

Responsibilities:



  • Proactively seeks to network and enhance the portfolio. Coordinates and executes donor stewardship and recognition activities to bolster portfolio support and increase donor engagement.
  • Initiates contacts with potential planned to give and endowment donors, identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding these individuals, adhering to the highest ethical standards, Donor Advisement Funds (DAF).
  • Ensures the maintenance of detailed and accurate records related to activities and prospect management. Administers in-kind donations, legacy gifts, and the issuance of donor acknowledgment letters.
  • Coordinate the logistics for the yearly gala, along with donor and employee engagement initiatives and various philanthropy-related events. Assist with gala preparations by tracking auction items, managing sponsor payment follow-ups, and organizing logistical support for award presentations.
  • Facilitates audits and benchmarking, ensuring all accounts are arranged and free of duplicate accounts.
  • Develops and implements strategies for events aimed at encouraging annual donations and enhancing community engagement. Recognizes effective trends and relevant content for social media platforms.
  • Creates opportunities for major gifts that align with Solari's objectives with the charitable interests of donors. Conducts thorough research and offers detailed information on prospects for major gifts and donor profiles.
  • Provides progress and results in relation to established objectives. Responsible for managing the CRM system and the Quarterly Newsletter.
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and professional internal and external customer service, including responding to internal and external communications promptly and attentively.
  • Provide support to Solari's Annual Philanthropy Plan, fundraising strategy and campaigns to exceed budgeted revenue.
  • Composes various written materials, including visit strategies, briefings, correspondence, proposals, pledge documents, and agreements for gifts. Coordinates community networking events, meetings, and donor tours.

Education & Experience:



  • 3-5 years of industry experience in non-profit fundraising, donor engagement field
  • Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) Certification, preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or a related field

Working Conditions:

While performing the job duties in the office or at a home office, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands; they must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
