The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in design, production, or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse, polished marketing materials. This person should be both creative and collaborative, able to translate abstract ideas and stakeholder feedback into high-impact designs, and manage projects from concept through final production.
Responsibilities
Creative Development & Concepting
Generate creative concepts that align with LMI's brand identity, marketing strategy, and industry positioning.
- Take ideas from whiteboarding and brainstorming sessions and translate them into high-quality design assets.
- Work collaboratively with marketing strategists, content creators, and business stakeholders to ensure designs effectively communicate key messages.
- Provide design leadership and direction, ensuring brand consistency across all marketing and communication materials.
Design & Production of Marketing Materials
- Design and produce a range of marketing assets, including:
- Print collateral (brochures, slicksheets, event materials)
- Digital graphics (social media graphics, infographics, banner ads)
- Website elements (UI components, landing pages, web visuals)
- PowerPoint presentations (polished, high-impact decks for internal and external use)
- Ensure all materials meet high-quality standards and follow best practices for layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
- Manage the proofing, revision, and final production process, working with print vendors and digital teams as needed.
Brand Stewardship & Design Trends
- Maintain and evolve LMI's brand identity by ensuring consistency and relevance across marketing and corporate materials.
- Stay up to date on design trends, particularly in technology marketing and GovCon, to ensure LMI's materials remain modern and engaging.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Project Management
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver creative solutions that meet business objectives.
- Provide guidance to non-designers, helping them understand and refine creative direction.
- Work collaboratively with external vendors, printers, and production teams to ensure smooth execution of printed and digital assets.
- Balance multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring timely delivery without sacrificing quality.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in graphic design, creative production, or a related field.
- Portfolio of diverse, polished marketing materials showcasing print and digital design work.
- Strong conceptual thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate ideas and discussions into clear, compelling visual concepts.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and After Effects a plus).
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, with the ability to create visually engaging presentations.
- Demonstrated grasp of technology brand trends and design principles for digital and print.
- Knowledge of print production requirements, including file setup, color management, and working with vendors.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present ideas and accept constructive feedback.
- Experience with UI/UX or video production is a plus.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
