LMI seeks an experienced Facility Operations Specialist (FOS) to providing support to a federal facilities portfolio management program. Responsibilities

    Assist the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) with oversight of regional maintenance and repair (M&R) contracts in respective area
  • Perform onsite project support and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of installed work, execution actions on contracts, operational contracts and direct procurement contracts
  • Coordinate program deliverables and review and finalize with awarded contractor
  • Work closely with area facility manager to establish priorities, ensure contractor availability, verify project funding, and oversee the delivery of facility projects
  • Develop and/or review SOWs, independent government cost estimates (IGCEs), terms and conditions, warranties, and contract modifications related to validation of equipment, building systems' preventative maintenance and required system certifications
  • Assist with the management of documentation, approvals and execution of major and minor repairs
  • Review task order and monthly invoices for accuracy and recommend action to the COR
  • Assist with operational contract oversight (procurement and coordination)
  • Coordinate with other facility management team members to execute task orders
  • Serve as liaison with other agency stakeholders for other vehicles for execution of M&R requirements
  • Review, validate and recommend action for work requests in respective area of responsibility
  • Provide subject matter expertise to working groups, integrated project teams, etc. on an as needed basis
  • Participate in weekly status meetings (draft agendas, notes, action items for follow up, etc.)


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and a minimum of five (5) or more years of experience in facilities management is required.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of facilities operations and components
  • Knowledge of basic work trades (electricity, carpentry, plumbing, iron work, welding, painting, concrete work, appliance repair, building operational requirements, etc.)
  • Knowledge and execution of regional preventive maintenance program processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools: Excel, Project, Word and PowerPoint and project management database systems
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation (CBP BI) preferred.
