Overview

LMI is seeking an Events Manager to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of LMI's industry conferences, tradeshows, hosted events, and sponsorships. This role will work closely with campaign marketers, business teams, designers, brand channel marketers, and other stakeholders to ensure LMI's presence at events is strategic, impactful, and aligned with business objectives.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in marketing, event management, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the GovCon market and federal sector events. They should be highly organized, an excellent communicator, and comfortable managing relationships with external vendors, event coordinators, and internal stakeholders.



Responsibilities

Event Strategy & Planning
    Develop and maintain a comprehensive events strategy that aligns with LMI's business goals and marketing objectives.
  • Create and manage an events calendar, ensuring visibility into all upcoming conferences, tradeshows, and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business teams and campaign marketers to determine the right events to attend, sponsor, or host.
  • Work with creative team to develop high-impact booth designs, collateral, and digital assets for events.
  • Identify and secure speaking opportunities, sponsorships, and award submissions to elevate LMI's thought leadership presence.
Event Coordination & Execution
  • Oversee the logistics, planning, and execution of LMI's presence at industry events, including booth setup, sponsorship deliverables, and brand representation.
  • Manage all aspects of LMI-hosted events, from vendor coordination to attendee engagement strategies.
  • Ensure seamless execution of tradeshows and large-scale events, maintaining brand consistency and optimizing engagement with target audiences.
  • Work closely with digital and social media teams to amplify event participation through pre-event promotion, event coverage, and post-event engagement.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
  • Manage relationships with external event organizers, contractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality event experiences.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and coordinate logistics with external partners.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, including business development teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and leadership, to align event participation with company priorities.
  • Ensure all sponsorship and partnership commitments are fulfilled, tracked, and optimized for brand exposure and ROI.
Event Performance Tracking & Optimization
  • Define and track KPIs to evaluate event success, including lead generation, brand awareness, audience engagement, and return on investment.
  • Gather feedback and insights from event attendees and stakeholders to continuously refine event strategies.
  • Maintain detailed records of event performance, sponsorship effectiveness, and budget utilization.
  • Work with marketing analytics teams to report on event impact and inform future decisions.


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in event management, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating in-house events and managing brand presence at large tradeshows.
  • Strong understanding of the GovCon market and familiarity with government-focused industry events.
  • Clear and consistent communication skills, with the ability to engage both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Extremely organized and a systems thinker, with strong project management skills.
  • Comfortable with stakeholder management, including business leaders and external partners.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for events and conferences.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
