Sony Electronics is seeking a Graphic Designer fixed-term contractor who specializes in bringing life to the world of technology. You will be working daily and directly with marketing managers, product planners, and business owners on project requirements, ideation, creation, and execution.

Located at Sony's corporate campus, you'll be part of a growing team responsible for all aspects of Sony North America's creative, and more specifically the TV and Audio Categories. This is a fixed-term contractor role, with a 1 - 3 year contract, with opportunities to grow with the company.

We are looking for someone with passion for graphic design and the ability to translate that skill to brand advertising in multiple touch points: Paid Media, Retail, Web, Social, Product launch and Positioning. You should have excellent organizational skills and be able to multitask while working with supervision from senior management within Sony.

Responsibilities, Skills and Experience

  • Works directly with TV and Audio Marketing Communications and Channel Marketing.

  • Supports Amazon, Best Buy, etc.

  • Portfolio of graphic design work to represent creative executions mentioned.

  • Design retail print, and digital creative.

  • Create digital web content, including design and development of static and interactive banner ads and animated gif a plus.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Your portfolio that showcases your skills. Please attach a portfolio of your work in order to be considered.

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in an agency or consumer business.

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts or a related field.

  • Experience / knowledge print output, designing emails, online banners, digital marketing, and web design.

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

  • Proficient in After Effects, HTML5 and animations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to apply and perform graphic design skills, including drawing/sketching, typography, ideation, color theory, use of texture, spacing, and scale a plus.

  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to trends influencing design in general.

  • Self-starter with passion for creativity and delivering content with impact.

  • Strong organization, oral and communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations.

  • Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives.

  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff, share ideas and develop effective responses.

  • Proven ability to work in a rapidly changing, high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple and competing work priorities, demands, and changes.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $76,375 to $101,834.The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
