Software Tester

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers in support of America's warfighters, is looking for a Software Tester to join our team onsite in Charleston, SC.

Pay Range: $75,000 to $85,000, depending on experience

You Will:

• Perform software product testing on Windows-based Enterprise networks
• Work with development team to reproduce/troubleshoot issues encountered during testing
• Configure and maintain test environment
• Assist Subject Matter Experts and Technical Writers with documentation efforts (test cases, test reports, software load plans)
• Track all changes and update documents as required and ensure updated documents are staffed to lead engineer for approval
• Troubleshoot and document software anomalies and deficiencies
• Assist in management of project test beds and network devices, including configuration of Linux and Windows-based test support systems and layer 2 & 3 switches and routers

You Have:

• U.S. Citizenship
• A Department of Defense (DoD) Secret-level security clearance
• Firm knowledge of software testing techniques and methodologies
• Experience in Windows and/or Linux system/software testing
• Strong interpersonal, documentation and communication skills
• An enthusiastic and proactive approach to learning, a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality
• Knowledge of emerging and maturing technologies, providing analysis and solution recommendations that provide the greatest value to the organization
• A CompTIA Security+ CE certification within three months of assuming duties
• The ability to multitask and balance multiple goals and priorities

Education/Experience:

• 3-5 years' experience in technical specifications development, process analysis and design, technical problem solving and analytical / logical thinking.
• 3-5 years of working knowledge of DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, VLAN
• 3-5 years of working knowledge with Microsoft Server OSes and products such as WSUS, Exchange, IIS, SMS, System Center, MECM, etc.
• Experience in Windows Domain system administration and Group Policy
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Linux KVM)
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Active Directory
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008 R2 and 2012 R2
• Experience with Microsoft Windows XP, 7 and 10
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server Update Services
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals

We'd Be Impressed If You Had:

• Experience with Navy IT-21 networks using COMPOSE and CANES
