Avantor is looking for an Operations Trainer to be responsible for preparing and delivering train the trainer and individual training to new manufacturing and production new hires and existing employees via classroom and hands on settings. The Operations Trainer is responsible for maintaining a deep level of understanding of Generac products and processes and simplifying the material into comprehensive training material for employees with varying levels of knowledge/technical abilities. Training will include: new hire orientation and on the floor hands on training and mentoring. This role will be a full-time position based out of our Morrisville, NC office. What we're looking for:
- Education:
- Associates degree in Education, Organization Development, or associated career related fields.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years training experience.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of cleanroom processes preferred.
- Demonstrated record of developing training that drives performance improvement.
- Knowledge in adult learning principles, both inside and outside of traditional classroom environments.
- Additional Qualifications:
- Intermediate level Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Computer, Internet and PC skills-to deliver training
- Able to engage individuals and larger audiences
- Able to teach complex technical topics to a wide range of skill levels
How you will thrive and create an impact:
- Coordinate with departments to create appropriate training content, materials, and training experiences as well as conduct post-training.
- Design and implement training programs to drive associate performance both for new hires and ongoing talent development (proficiency, semi-annual and annual training).
- Develop training content that utilizes adult learning principles and meets training outcomes, managing content updates to materials as needed.
- Create and develop training resource material, schedules, and curriculum; delivering a training courses, both live and on-demand which includes lecture and hands-on training, facilitating proctored assessments and written examinations.
- Remain current with trends in learning, training, and development research, as well as new materials, learning methods and techniques.
- Use training evaluation methods, training feedback and insight from internal associates to measure effectiveness of training sessions and identify areas for improvement in programs and processes.
- Use appropriate tools and delivery methods to produce blended learning materials promoting learning through self-study, practice, performance support, socialization and knowledge-sharing including e-learning tools.
- Coordinate and maintain classes on an annual training schedule.
- Create assessments that will monitor the skill development of the associate and the effectiveness of the training program.
- Audit associates to measure training effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
