THE OPPORTUNITY We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Instructional Designer to join our Sales Enablement team. This role is key to developing impactful learning solutions that enhance sales performance across a fast-paced global organization. You will design and implement cutting-edge learning programs, working closely with key stakeholders to support various initiatives such as onboarding, our Sales Excellence Program, and ongoing professional development. Your work will directly influence sales effectiveness and contribute to OpenText's long-term success. WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS Instructional Design Expertise
- Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of and ability to apply instructional design models (ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy, Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model, Experiential Learning, etc.)
- Creative Solutioning: Develop innovative, engaging, and impactful learning experiences that cater to a global and diverse sales force.
- Multimedia Proficiency: Experience in video editing, graphic design, and interactive media development for training content.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in HTML, CSS, LMS administration, and design frameworks to create seamless learning experiences across various platforms.
- Tools Expertise: Proficient in industry-standard authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Vyond, Synthesia, etc.) with a solid understanding of SCORM, xAPI, and other standards.
Design, Development and delivery
- Diverse Learning Modalities: Lead and collaborate on the design and delivery of varied learning modalities, including eLearning, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual ILT, peer-to-peer learning, job aids, and performance support tools.
- Engaging Experiences: Leverage the latest instructional design technologies to maximize learner engagement, retention, and skills transfer.
- Content Strategy: Develop and deploy strategies for designing scalable, impactful, and measurable learning solutions that align with business goals and sales performance.
Program Management and collaboration
- Project Leadership: Take ownership of complex instructional design projects from concept through to implementation, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, sales leadership, and technical teams, to ensure alignment and success of learning programs.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and sharing progress.
Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Impact Measurement: Use Kirkpatrick's levels of evaluation to assess the effectiveness and business impact of training programs.
- Data-Driven Adjustments: Gather and analyze feedback from learners, managers, and stakeholders to continuously improve learning experiences.
- Content Maintenance: Ensure training content remains up-to-date and relevant to evolving business needs and product offerings.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, Communications, Business or related field.
- Instructional Design Experience: 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, learning development, or a related field.
- Sales Enablement Expertise: Experience working in sales enablement or sales training, preferably in a technology or SaaS company.
- Project Leadership: Proven track record of leading complex learning projects from concept to Implimentation.
