Job Responsibilities
The Director, Revenue/Sales Operations will drive strategic and operational improvements within the Design & Engineering business unit, ensuring alignment between revenue growth, sales strategy, processes, and technology. This role focuses on optimizing the effectiveness of the global sales organization through data-driven insights, sales enablement, and process automation. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with deep experience in revenue and sales operations within a SaaS or subscription-based model, particularly in the CAD/CAM or CAE space.
What You'll Do
- Develop and refine sales and revenue growth strategies in partnership with the Design & Engineering sales leadership.
- Manage sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes to optimize revenue generation.
- Design and implement revenue operations workflows, policies, and tools to drive efficiency.
- Ensure effective CRM utilization (Salesforce) and data integrity to enhance revenue insights.
- Analyze sales and revenue performance metrics and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Oversee sales pipeline analysis, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Lead the sales compensation and revenue operations strategy, including quota management and incentive plans.
- Work closely with finance, marketing, and customer success teams to align business objectives.
- Implement sales enablement programs, ensuring the team is equipped with the right tools, training, and methodologies.
- Identify opportunities for revenue automation and digital transformation to improve efficiency.
- Lead and develop a high-performing global revenue and sales operations team, fostering innovation and excellence.
Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, or business operations within a global organization.
- Experience in revenue and sales operations within a software company, preferably in a SaaS or subscription-based model.
- Strong expertise in revenue analytics, forecasting, and performance management.
- Proven experience implementing and managing CRM (Salesforce), CPQ, and sales automation tools.
- Expertise in quota and compensation management and sales incentive structures.
- Ability to analyze sales pipelines and revenue trends to accelerate growth.
- Background in managing global revenue and sales operations teams with a focus on scaling operations.
- Strong knowledge of sales enablement, compensation models, and incentive structures.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience in the CAD/CAM or CAE industry, providing direct industry knowledge.
- Familiarity with sales methodology frameworks like MEDDIC, Sandler, or SPIN selling.
- Strong understanding of sales methodology implementation in Salesforce.
- Background in career growth from a lower-level position in a large technology company.
- Experience leading large-scale digital transformation projects in revenue and sales operations.
- Familiarity with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Understanding of AI-driven revenue analytics and automation tools.
