Job Summary
B&A is seeking a highly experienced and strategic
Operations Program Manager to lead and oversee complex operations programs that drive business efficiency and performance. As an Operations Program Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects, ensuring successful execution, and driving operational excellence across departments. This is a senior-level role that requires a blend of leadership, program management expertise, and deep understanding of operational processes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of large-scale operations programs, from inception through completion, ensuring alignment with company objectives, strategic goals, and operational standards.
- Collaborate with senior leaders across functions to define program goals, expectations, and deliverables. Provide regular updates on progress and resolve issues as they arise.
- Drive continuous improvements in operational processes, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and alignment with best practices.
- Oversee resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting, ensuring that projects are executed within scope, on time, and within budget.
- Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure that risks are managed throughout the program lifecycle.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product, finance, and operations to ensure smooth execution of projects and alignment with broader organizational objectives.
- Measure and report on program success through metrics, ensuring all key performance indicators (KPIs) are met and that desired results are achieved.
- Provide mentorship to junior program managers and team members, developing the skills and capabilities of those around you.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of seven years of experience at the senior program manager level, managing large-scale programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Required Skills
- Possession of a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization, particularly with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to think strategically and see the big picture while managing the details of program execution.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement changes to improve program outcomes.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively present to and engage senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, etc.) and ability to drive project tracking, reporting, and collaboration.
- Proven experience working across multiple functions and teams, managing both internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on deadlines.
Desired Skills
- Direct experience in managing operations-focused programs or initiatives, preferably in [industry-specific experience, e.g., manufacturing, tech, healthcare].
- Experience in change management and implementing large-scale operational transformations.
- Strong financial and budget management skills to ensure programs are executed within financial constraints.
- Advanced certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Lean Six Sigma, or Agile certifications.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, and effectively manage crises and unexpected challenges.
- Experience managing global programs or working with distributed teams is a plus.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and tools that can improve operations efficiency.
Security Clearance
- Secret to start, ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance if needed.
