Job Summary Tasks and Responsibilities:Functional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: *Cell enumeration and viability assays, *Live microbe-based performance assays, *Physical property assessment assays of formulated samples, *Custom media preparation and material sourcing responsibilities, *Troubleshooting protocols when discrepancies arise, *Keeping clear and organized result records, *Collaborating with IFF team and contributing to result interpretations, *Regular communications of results, *Presenting results to team, *Assisting engineers in operating recovery and formulation equipment, *Buffer and reagent prepration, *Continuous improvement efforts to improve process safety, increase quality, service levels, efficiency, and reliability. Job Skills and Requirements: *Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, or related Life Sciences area; AA degree with 5 years of experience, *Laboratory experience working with microorganisms, *Laboratory experience in basic microbiology lab techniques, *Attention to detail, *Proactive problem-solving attitude, *Self-motivation to learn and improve protocols, *Excellent verbal and written communication, *Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, oFamiliarity with other data visualization tools a plus (PowerBI, Spotfire), *Excellent time management skills, *Collaborative attitude, *Some experience with processing and analytical equipment is a plus, *Basic understanding of assay principles such use of standard curves and assay controls, *Experience with using analytical pipettes and analytical balances for volumetric and gravimetric dilutions, *Ability to wear general lab PPE (boots, safety glasses and gloves). Technical Expertise / Knowledge / Problem Solving: Compensation: The hourly rate range for this position is $28.00/hr.-$32.00/hr. The compensation offered will be based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
