This position provides critical support to State recruiting commands and the National Guard Bureau (NGB) by managing and analyzing data related to Store Front Recruiting Offices (SFROs) and recruiter performance. The role involves evaluating potential SFRO locations, assisting with SFRO openings, generating a variety of recurring reports, and supporting strategic planning and resource allocation for SFROs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and support the mission of Army recruiting.

The Accession Support Specialist will be responsible for the following:

SFRO Support:



  • Communicate with State recruiting commands regarding current SFROs.
  • Evaluate proposed SFRO locations based on size, cost, and demographics.
  • Assist States with SFRO openings, need analysis, location, justification, validation, lease negotiation, and furnishing and decoration.


Data Analysis and Reporting:



  • Weekly updates & reports, including Enlistment and Zero Roller reports.
  • Track recruiter enlistments and report those with no enlistments Fiscal Year to Date (FYTD).
  • Weekly Recruiting & Retention Non-Commissioned Officer (RRNCO) production reports.
  • Monthly reports from various Recruiting systems.
  • Annual Cost per Accession Report calculating the full cost of recruiter and accession.
  • Ad hoc reports to enhance SFRO reporting requirements, as needed.


Strategic Support:



  • Meet bi-annually with HRR leadership and Installations Division (NGB) (ILI) to review SFRO Q-Lease and funding for the next fiscal year.
  • Communicate annually with ILI to provide justification of SFROs for the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and comparing NGB Form 210Rs to funding for each state.
  • Developing an out-year cost reduction model for SFROs facing possible funding reduction.

Qualifications

  • Must have an active SECRET clearance.
  • 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or program support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (including advanced functions for data analysis and reporting).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
  • Experience with military recruiting operations or knowledge of the National Guard Bureau (NGB).
  • Experience with Army Recruiting Information Support System (ARISS) or other similar database systems.
  • Familiarity with systems such as SMMS, E-tracker, REQUEST, and DPRO.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
