RN - ICU Step Down (000539)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our ICU Step Down unit. The role involves providing high-quality care to patients transitioning out of the ICU, requiring more attention than those on a general medical-surgical unit. The RN to patient ratio is 1:4, covering a range of patients from young adults to geriatric.

• Monitor patients with medical equipment such as catheters, feeding tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators, and cardiac monitors.
• Conduct frequent patient assessments and escalate any changes in medical condition promptly.
• Respond to cardiac arrest and rapid response codes efficiently.

• New York State RN License, Primary Source Verification
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• IV/Phlebotomy experience

• Graduation from an accredited National League of Nursing School or equivalent education and experience.
• Licensed to practice as a professional nurse in New York State.
• Two years of experience in Medical/Surgical SD or ICU, IV Insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation.
• Demonstrates satisfactory completion of age-specific competency.

• Experience in an acute setting is required.
• Rotating weekends and holidays are mandatory.
• Workers must adhere to the schedule provided by the facility.

• ACLS - AHA
• BLS
• RN License
