Summary of Position

Supporting development and optimization of a new generation of Mass Spectrometry-based reduced peptide mapping assay for characterization of monoclonal antibodies and antibody-drug conjugates.

Responsibilities and Job Duties

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Supporting development and optimization of novel reduced peptide mapping assay to improve efficiency of sample preparation and chromatographic resolution of digest peptides
  • Supporting assay execution for routine and investigational testing including sample preparation as well as data collection and analysis
  • Using industry standard techniques such as use of dialysis cassettes, enzyme digestion, etc.
  • Operating analytical instrumentation such as pH meter, HPLCs, UPLCs and Mass Spectrometers under supervision/guidance
  • Preparing buffers and reagents according to written SOPs
  • Participating in general laboratory activities such as: inventory, waste management, receiving packages, etc.
  • Participating in Analytical Sciences group meetings


Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certifications & Experience

Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Strong background and keen understanding of chemistry including the areas of analytical, organic, and bioorganic chemistry
  • Must have experience with using any analytical equipment
  • Good communication skills (written and oral) and be able to follow instructions and guidance


Preferred Qualifications



  • BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioorganic chemistry, Organic chemistry, or related field
  • Experience in using analytical instruments such as HPLC, UPLC, or LC-MS
  • General knowledge of antibody structure and function



Additional Information

The hourly rate of pay for this position is $21.50. For non-exempt roles, and according to applicable regulations, there may be the possibility for overtime pay. Eligible intern employees may participate in the 401(k) plan with employer match and may receive the company holiday benefit if the holiday falls on a regularly scheduled workday. An intern will accrue one hour of sick leave for every 30 hours of working time. Interns are responsible for their own travel, housing, and living expenses.

The pay rate range is described in good faith, and the Company believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting depending on the candidate's experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors permitted by law. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and this range may be modified in the future. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable under the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law.
