Pay / Schedule: $36.00 - $40.00/hr. Schedule Monday - Friday, Flexible start time between 7 am - 8:00 am, 8 hours per day.
SCHEDULE: DAY SHIFT - MONDAY - FRIDAY; FLEXIBLE START TIME, COULD BE 7:00 AM OR 8:00 AM; OVERTIME IS REQUIRED ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS DEPENDING ON THE PROJECT NO HYBRID OR REMOTE SCHEDULE AVAILABLE. THIS POSITION IS 100% ON SITE. TOP REQUIRED SKILLS: - 5 YEARS OF TECHNICAL WRITING EXPERIENCE - GREAT ORGANIZATIONAL AND TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS - EXCELLENT WRITTEN AND VERBAL COMMUNICATION - SAFETY MINDSET OF EQUIPMENT OPERATION - ABILITY TO CONVEY INFORMATION CLEARLY AND CORRECTLY IN ALL TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS - HIGH ATTENTION TO DETAIL - SOFTWARE SKILLS WITH MICROSOFT SUITE, VISIO, ADOBE EDITOR/ILLUSTRATOR, PAINT - PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE OF OILFIELD SOLIDS CONTROL EQUIPMENT IS A PLUS - FAMILIARITY WITH STANDARD EN 82079-1:2020 IS A PLUS (PREPARATION OF INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE - STRUCTURING, CONTENT, AND PRESENTATION - PART 1: GENERAL PRINCIPLES AND DETAILED REQUIREMENTS) INTERVIEW PROCESS: 1ST ROUND WILL BE VIRTUAL, 2ND ROUND WILL BE IN PERSON (INCLUDES AN ASSESSMENT) THE MANAGER WOULD LIKE TO INTERVIEW AND HIRE ASAP. JOB ROLE: Create, edit, and illustrate various types of technical documents relating to standard products as well as improve the quality of documentation issued with projects for Brandt Products. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Independently research, write, rewrite, edit, and proofread technical material for engineering documentation and publications. 2. Determine the information required for each document and work with engineers, technicians, and other personnel to collect technical or procedural input. 3. Create and modify documents in MS Word and photographs in Photoshop. 4. Translate technical information into clear, readable documents. 5. Review documentation prepared by other department members to ensure editorial and technical quality. 6. Coordinate document production from initial concepts to hard and soft copy distribution. 7. Maintain configuration management of all text and graphic files, as well as any hard copy inputs that are used. 8. Create and maintain the style guide and procedures manual that meet the specific needs of Well Site Services. 9. Create technical document templates with the aid of provided examples. 10. Convert .pdf documents to Microsoft Word. 11. Be able to extract drawings and diagrams from AutoCad and/or SolidWorks with little or no training. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Must follow all safety and environmental policies and programs; must be able to use personal safety devices as required by company policy; report any activities that could be detrimental to safety and/or the loss of productivity; report any injuries when they occur. 2. Perform other related duties as prescribed by the reporting manager. JOB ANALYSIS: 1. BA in English, Communication, or technical related field in Engineering, with 5 years of experience in technical writing. 2. Five (5) years of experience in writing end-user procedure documentation. 3. Five (5) years of experience in MS Office Suite and Adobe Pro. 4. Some knowledge of ACAD and Solid Works is a plus but not required. 5. Some knowledge of oilfield equipment is a plus but not required. |
