About the Role
Redhorse Corporation is seeking a highly experienced US Air Force Account Leader to drive significant growth and foster strong customer relationships. This critical role focuses on delivering cutting-edge AI-enabled software solutions for Air Force enterprise applications and DoD weapons systems. You will shape the future of Air Force technology, making a tangible difference in national defense. Based in our National Capital Region offices (Rosslyn, Arlington, VA), with potential for remote work, this position offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team and contribute to meaningful innovation within a dynamic organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Growth & Account Expansion:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for Air Force programs, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Lead inside and outside sales efforts, including customer engagement, proposal development, and pipeline management.
- Cultivate and maintain strong executive-level relationships within the Air Force, DoD, and key industry stakeholders.
- Lead capture and proposal efforts for new contracts and contract expansions.
- Customer Engagement & Strategic Advisory:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Air Force leadership, aligning solutions with Air Force strategic priorities.
- Guide customers in the adoption of AI-enabled software solutions, ensuring compliance with operational and cybersecurity requirements.
- Advocate for customer needs within Redhorse, influencing product and service offerings.
- Program Oversight & Delivery Excellence:
- Oversee complex software delivery programs, ensuring adherence to DoD best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering and CTO teams to align technical execution with customer requirements.
- Manage program risks, track performance, and engage stakeholders effectively.
- Manage the transition of programs from development to sustainment, ensuring long-term customer success.
- Team Development & Leadership:
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing Air Force-focused delivery team.
- Collaborate with CTO teams and engineering resources to optimize talent allocation.
- Support hiring and professional development initiatives to build a scalable, mission-driven team.
Required Experience/Clearance
- 10+ years of experience in DoD software program delivery, with a strong focus on Air Force programs.
- Expertise in AI-enabled software, cloud-native solutions, DevSecOps, and DoD software acquisition processes.
- Proven success in business development, capture management, and sales growth within the defense sector.
- Deep understanding of Air Force acquisition, sustainment, and operational technology environments.
- Experience leading complex software development and integration projects for DoD weapons systems.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively across diverse teams (engineering, business development, program management).
Desired Experience
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
- Experience with specific cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Specific experience with DataBricks, GitLab, or Jira.
