TEKsystems is seeking a PC Technician for one of our clients based out of Columbus, OH.
*Job Description* * Provide on-site desktop support for all hardware. * Set up, configure, install, and maintain end-user desktop computers and peripherals, both in production lines and office environments. * Deliver technical support to production and office personnel for computers, phones, and printers. * Implement and maintain network servers, including managing user accounts. * Troubleshoot and resolve issues for networks, servers, and end-user devices. * Offer support for industrial printers. * Manage and track hardware inventory and handle e-waste responsibly. * Provide support for computer workstations and other relevant hardware. * Perform additional duties as required and assigned. *Essential Skills* * Strong problem-solving capabilities. * Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. * Capacity to make critical and timely decisions. * Excellent communication and writing abilities. * Strong multitasking skills to prioritize critical tasks efficiently. * Resilience to handle demanding workloads in a fast-paced environment. *Physical Requirements* * Operation of computer equipment regularly. * Occasional stooping, crawling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. to install or verify network devices and cabling. * Ability to climb ladders to reset wireless access points and perform other tasks. * Climb ladders up to 20-25 feet, including some with cages or exposed designs, to access elevated areas like catwalks or mezzanines while carrying necessary hardware. *Skills* * Desktop Support * Troubleshooting * Printer Support * Break/Fix *Additional Skills and Qualifications* * The role involves maintaining the functionality of production computers and resolving network-related issues such as troubleshooting routers or switches when required. * Occasional tasks may include re-imaging computers and undergoing training to safely climb ladders for hardware adjustments or resetting wireless access points. * This is an on-site role requiring daily attendance, with the potential to grow into a leadership position after one year based on performance. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
