Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Learning and Development - New Restaurant Opening Training Specialist (NROTS) will manage and oversee new restaurant opening training programs, systems, and logistics nationally. Collaborate strategically with Franchise owners, operators, and Fuzzy's Taco Shop Operations team to develop a highly skilled workforce capable of delivering exceptional food and service while maintaining Fuzzy's Taco Shop brand standards.

This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong lines of communication with all regional partners, franchisees, and their points of contact around the adoption and effective use of brand training philosophies, programs, and systems within their assigned region. The NROST will act as a conduit for all franchisees, the point of contact for everything revolving NROs and Manager in Training programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and facilitates New Restaurant Opening projects through strong collaboration with cross functional team and franchisee leadership. On site at all NROs to ensure success.
  • Develop, maintain and revise training materials, process and procedure manuals, and resources related to new restaurant openings, initiatives to drive new and existing operations, and marketing programs for new restaurant openings.
  • Develops and monitors the success of new restaurant opening training programs and tools and recommends strategies to improve training programs and trainer capabilities.
  • Partner with field support personnel to identify the quantity and locations of training restaurants needed to support the development of new restaurant opening trainers.
  • Oversees new restaurant opening training programs execution and executes training programs in assigned areas, including Manager in Training sessions.
  • Leads and develops training resources and logistics for New Restaurants Openings.
  • Ensures New Restaurant Opening Trainers are effectively trained and have a solid understanding of Fuzzy's Taco Shop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Leads and facilitates virtual and in-person workshops to develop the knowledge and skills of New Restaurant Opening Trainers.
  • Leads the coordination and agendas related to calls, webinars, and meetings with new restaurant opening stakeholders to collaborate and provide guidance on new restaurant opening training strategy, programs, and execution.
  • Designates New Restaurant Opening Trainer training locations and guides the Training Restaurant leadership in the successful position training of new New Restaurant Opening Trainers.
  • Utilizes data and information to evaluate the results and effectiveness of the new restaurant opening training programs and provides solutions to drive the quality execution of the programs.
  • Target base salary 50k-65k depending on experience

Skills & Requirements:

  • Accredited certification or degree in Business, Education, Communications, or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • 1-2 years of restaurant management experience
  • 2-3 years' professional-level training experience in all aspects of restaurant operations
  • 3 or more years of experience with opening new restaurants
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to set goals and convert plans into action.
  • Previous experience in creating professional training tools and assets
  • Ability and desire to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to interact positively with stakeholders at various levels within an organization and display strong customer service skills, diplomacy, and tact
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively train people with a wide variety of experience and skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint,
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite/Adobe Creative Cloud preferred
  • Familiarity with one or more with web-based meeting and/or instructional platforms such as WebEx, Microsoft Teams, or AdobeConnect
  • Travel up to 60% of the time.
