TITLE: Regional Sales Manager

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the management of Grocery/Food Service sales and marketing activities for a select customer base to achieve required growth and meet sales objectives. Responsibilities include selling to customers, prospecting & adding new accounts, directing brokers, strategic planning, and annual budgeting.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • 5+ years of sales and business development experience with a proven track record of positive customer relationships and sales.
  • College or university degree in business or related fields.
  • Other experience in business management a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Ability to travel/drive with a valid driver's license.
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.


  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Conduct sales activities with existing customers and prospect accounts to maintain relationships and increase sales.
  • Actively identify and develop prospects and targets, prioritize opportunities and develop strategic supply proposals to gain incremental business.
  • Collect market intelligence and customer decision criteria to recommend effective sales proposals.
  • Skillfully present compelling supply package presentations, resulting in awarded business.
  • Develop annual sales budget and strategy and execute the plan accordingly.
  • Review sales progress regularly against goals and re-align efforts if necessary to ensure targets are being successfully achieved.
  • Become proficient with the Fantapak product bundle.
  • Interact and coordinate with other functional departments in order to provide customer satisfaction and increase sales.
  • Coordinate with marketing personnel to develop sales promotion plans for target products.
  • Attend sales trade shows and customer events to promote products and develop business opportunities.
  • Coordinate the hiring and training of Brokers as necessary.
  • Handle special projects assigned by the business unit.
  • Through self-motivation provide leadership for successful day-to-day sales operations.
  • Manage customer communication, sales execution, training and direction of commissioned brokers.
  • Make sales calls on existing customers and potential buyers of Fantapak product lines and influence the procurement process in order to grow sales.
  • Use industrycontacts and/or knowledge to broaden Fantapak selling and growth potential.
  • Sell productsemploying a consultative and problem-solving approach.
  • Work independently against a variety of objectives using time management skills to meet and exceed internal/external customer expectations.
  • Apply strongcommunications skills including oral, written, presentation and active listening.
  • View problems, issues and needs from a customer's perspective; incorporating creative problem-solving techniques to identify appropriate solutions.
  • Proactivelypursue continuous learning in a highly competitive, dynamic market place.
  • Sales and Marketing- knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product innovation, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales controls systems.
  • Customer Service- knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Administration and Management-knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resource.


OTHER INFORMATION:



  • Prior experience with the plastics or paper industry in the field of flexible packaging, including bags, films, sheeting in the retail supplies market, etc., is mandatory.
  • This position involves up to 50+% travel, with a willingness to travel throughout the United States attending meetings with customer/prospects and sales functions such as trade shows, etc.
