Network Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer with expertise in Fortinet and Palo Alto security solutions, specifically in the area of SSE/SASE offerings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in firewall management, cloud security, network protocols, and security compliance frameworks.

What you will do:

  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Fortinet and Palo Alto security solutions including ZTNA, SD-WAN, SWG, SSE, and CASB solutions (Forti SASE, Prisma SASE).
  • Implement and maintain network security policies, access controls, and user/group profiles.
  • Ensure network security hardening, and event handling to mitigate threats.
  • Ensure secure connectivity through IPSEC/SSL VPNs; enforce network security best practices.
  • Manage L2-L4 network infrastructure, including switching (Spanning Tree), routing (OSPF, BGP), and load balancing.
  • Monitor and analyze security events, responding to threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and channel partners to optimize security strategies.
  • Document security configurations, troubleshooting steps, and best practices.
  • Support security operations, compliance requirements, and governance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP, MITRE ATT&CK, etc.).
  • Communicate directly with client resources in implementation and troubleshooting efforts.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in network security with a focus on Fortinet and Palo Alto products
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, SNMP).
  • Hands-on experience in SASE, firewall management, VPNs, ZTNA, SD-WAN, proxies, and cloud security solutions.
  • Good understanding of AWS, Azure, GCP cloud platforms
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to produce high-quality technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Provide security operations support, including system updates, event monitoring, incident response, and logging system management.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Ability to clearly and forcefully communicate with client representatives.

What we would like from you:

  • Working with SASE and SSE architectures (Prisma SASE, Forti SASE, Zscaler, Cisco Umbrella)
  • Familiarity with cloud security models and compliance standards.
  • Experience in network forensic analysis, automation tools, and endpoint security technologies.

Certifications (Preferred): Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE
