POSITION SUMMARY:

AccuWeather is looking for a motivated individual who is excited to gain hands on experience with project organization and management at AccuWeather! The Intern will assist in capturing and working with leadership to prioritize ideas, track strategically important projects, and create reports for the executive team while analyzing competitor map offering and comparing to those we offer.

You will gain invaluable knowledge and hands-on experience by working side-by-side with leaders and executives.

There may also be opportunities for you to shadow other opportunities in different departments throughout the company - the sky is the limit for people at AccuWeather!

This position will work at our Headquarters office in State College, Pennsylvania, for the summer of 2025.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Work with teams throughout the organization to capture project ideas and catalog them.
  • Work with your supervisor and other leaders in the organization to prioritize project ideas.
  • With leadership help, create roadmaps on projects and reports on their progress for the executive team.
  • Work extensively on gathering maps and graphs from several sources to help analyze strengths and weaknesses, and generate reports to help specify projects to strengthen our offerings.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Full-time junior or senior university student, or graduate student (not graduating in the spring of 2025), with project management and mapping/graphics experience or education.
  • Solid understanding of tracking and prioritizing projects
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Experience with Jira, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Good communication and interaction skills.
