Position Summary:

The Inside Sales Proposal Specialist serves as a key member of the Inside Sales team supporting the full pursuit process, from positioning and capture planning through post-proposal submittal debriefing. The successful candidate's focus is the support (or lead) of marketing pursuits, planning, scheduling, development, and finalization of responses to client requests for qualification, proposals, bids, and presentations that result in contract and/or project awards. Must be able to multi-task, function effectively under multiple deadlines and time constraints, and manage time efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while demonstrating an energetic 'can do' attitude.

What You Will Be Doing:



  • Serves as proposal lead or support resource to:


    • Review and interpret RFPs and lead routine proposals
    • Develop proposal management plans-including compliance check documentation.
    • Develop/manage/respond to sub-consultant data calls.
    • Develop kickoff and other meeting agendas.
    • Coordinate proposal team activities and meetings.
    • Develop/drive pursuit milestone schedules.
    • Co-lead reviews, i.e., Red Team reviews, editing and general QA/QC of statements of qualifications, proposals, presentations, etc.
    • Drive RFP compliance/requirements.
    • Ensure timely and complete proposal production and delivery.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Detail and results-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.


  • Participates in win strategy development and helping to identify proposal needs (e.g., resources, materials, information, expertise) and in carrying out win strategies.
  • Collects information/materials, and work with capture/proposal teams to develop new or tailored information/materials.
  • Writes new text and/or tailor existing materials (general text, resumes, project descriptions), which may include interviewing staff/technical experts, to incorporate win strategy/capture plan information into text, to meet RFP requirements, and provide competitive RFP responses.
  • Provides clear, concise written and verbal instructions and directions for proposal team action items and follows up on progress.
  • Develops proposal-specific templates and data call requests.
  • Works with graphic design and other proposal team members to communicate requirements, needs and product expectations.
  • Performs a variety of data and knowledge management activities such as updating, organizing, cataloging and storing information for current and future proposal needs using a shared Inside Sales team.
  • Supports development of client interview presentations.
  • Has the aptitude to learn and advance proposal management, interview, gather and write a compelling story and layout skill sets.

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in proposal development in A/E/C industry.
  • Proposal development experience for broad range of RFPs/solicitations.
  • Proficiency in Word, InDesign and PowerPoint software.

Base Compensation: $64,200 - $84,600

Stanley Consultants is committed to maintaining transparency in our hiring process, including providing information about compensation. The starting salary for the successful candidate in this position is competitive and will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications and experience, geographic location, internal equity, company policy and practices.

Stanley's Approach to Flexibility

While some members choose to work out of their local office on a full-time basis, we offer a hybrid schedule for eligible positions consisting of two days a week in the office, two days a week remotely, and Friday being a flexible day that can be worked either in the office or at home. Eligible roles can also offer a compressed workweek schedule. Members who participate will be assigned a 9/80 work schedule, meaning every other Friday off!
