Warehouse Clerk

Department: Shipping

Shift: Day (3:00 pm - 12:00 am)

Pay: $19.65 plus $1.00 shift differential

Position Summary:

This position is critical to ensuring the availability of all materials, ingredients and packaging for the plant. This person will report to the Purchasing /Warehouse Supervisor. Must have computer skills, phone etiquette and pay close attention to details. Must be able to routinely lift 50 to up to 100 pounds. This person is responsible for Dry goods getting into the facility and put up in a timely manner.

Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:

Process product using tools and equipment provided

Follows all work safety policies and guidelines

Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and /or safety issues/concerns

Adheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) product standards and guidelines

Maintains a clean and organized area

Performs other duties as assigned

Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours

Maintain acceptable loading and unloading times of inbound and outbound trucks

Communicate with QA and USDA as needed

Communicate with drivers, team coordinators and Managers when needed

Perform forklift check sheets on daily basis

Receive bills from drivers and place on dock doors for loading as needed

Help with loading and unloading trucks as needed

Responsible for restacking spices that come in on wood pallets to plastic pallets

Create and maintain purchase orders in SAP

Communicate requirements with suppliers and obtain delivery confirmation

Expedite as needed

Resolve blocked invoices in SAP

Assist warehouse personnel as needed

Be available to help with month end inventory of dry goods and supplies

Moving material and ingredients as needed

Acceptable housekeeping in Dry goods area

Complete paperwork accurately and legibly

Be able to work in an area with foot traffic and other material handling traffic in a safe manner

Responsible for getting spice and ingredients to Raw side for next day production

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions

Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States

Must pass a background check, drug screen

Must be able to read and write

Need to be familiar in SPC, HACCP, GMP'S SSOP'S and USDA

Computer skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Knowledge of SAP as it pertains to shipping and receiving trucks

Knowledge of FGI system and how to use and troubleshoot FGI scan guns

Have a knowledge of production schedule and what product is running on daily basis

Product knowledge and process knowledge

Ability to read and understand a packaging schedule

Ability to drive a forklift swiftly and safely in congested areas

Ability to read Bills for deliveries

Ability to use and control dock locks and levelers efficiently

Ability to complete daily paperwork as required and turn in to the proper departments

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing and walking in cold shipping cooler for duration of shift

Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more)

Getting off and on forklifts to open doors to remove paperwork from pallets constantly throughout day

Reaching overhead

Reaching below knees

Ability to multitask

Completing required paperwork in timely manner

Using material handling equipment as needed

Working Conditions/Department Description:

Work in cold environment for an entire shift

Work with loud and noisy machinery as needed

Work in dusty environment when using spice as needed

Go in and out of different climates throughout day

Work in congested areas as needed
