Diamondback Energy is searching for an Intern for Human Resources (HR). The HR intern's duties and responsibilities include assisting with various tasks within the Human Resources department, such as updating employee records, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, supporting recruitment efforts, contributing to employee onboarding, and aiding in the employee engagement process, all while gaining hands-on experience; often requiring strong communication and organizational skills. The Intern will also be assigned projects to carry out.

Key responsibilities of the HR intern may include:

  • The internship will consist of 10 to 12 weeks from May to August, during this time you will get immersed in various HR functions and activities. It will also include a high impact project that will be presented to executive leadership.
  • Engage with and support various HR functions including:
  • Training and Development strategies and execution.
  • HRIS expansion and optimization through data organization and integrity.
  • Benefits program reviews to help ensure our total rewards platform supports employees and their families.
  • Employee Relations principles to guide business success and growth.
  • Compensation structure enhancements through job analysis and job catalog building.
  • Various mentors will guide you throughout the internship, helping apply various HR strategies into real world examples and experiences.

Required skills for the HR intern:

  • Required to be in enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program at an accredited university/college with at least one semester remaining after the completion of the internship
  • Critical thinking and analytical stills
  • Strong team player and collaborator
  • Strong technical ability with Microsoft suite
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
