Posting Summary
The Department of Political Science at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, seeks applicants for a full-time, one-year, non-tenure-track position to teach undergraduate classes in the field of comparative politics. Appointment will be at the Assistant Teaching Professor rank. Start date is negotiable depending on candidate availability. The appointment entails a 6-course teaching load (3/3) per academic year, a minimum salary of $82,110, and health benefits. PhD degree in Political Science by start date is required.
The successful candidate will teach courses in the department's undergraduate curriculum, especially our large lecture introduction to comparative politics, as well as courses in European politics, Middle Eastern politics, and social movements. This position is primarily focused on teaching. While research and service opportunities are available and supported, they are not required. Experience working with teaching assistants is preferred.
