AP and Travel Shared Service Manager

The Travel Accountant performs travel accounting and other accounting functions.

The Travel Accountant is responsible for:



  • Maintaining Portal Site(s) using SharePoint collecting travel expense reports
  • Ensuring submitted expense meet organizational policies and are submitted and processed timely.
  • Ensuring expenses report submitted meet Government compliance requirements for applicable locations
  • Collaborating with Finance, IT and Procurement staff to meet business requirements
  • End user training
  • Ensures consistent practices are used throughout the company to maintain the integrity of the expense reporting system

  • Full time office role


Required Skills and Tasks to be Performed

This position requires the following skills and/or tasks:



  • Process employee expense reports for 8 US plant sites with annual expense volume of $8,500,000 USD (approximately 450 reports a month)
  • Submit employee master data changes as needed
  • Administrator of T&E card web platform
  • Weekly meetings with Supervisor
  • Monthly review of T&E spend reports
  • Address employee/travel inquiries
  • Complete check runs and wire transfers for all US divisions
  • AP Support Duties: Assist and support AP manager on various projects/managing payment returns etc.



Required Software Skills:



  • Integrated ERP System (SAP preferred)
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles
  • MS Office suite: Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Microsoft SharePoint a plus

Education

Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.

The following experience is required for this position:



  • Minimum: Two years accounting work history
  • Preferred: Three to four years accounting work history
